Iranian short film ‘The City of Honey’ has been picked out as a finalist of the 2020 edition of the GENERIcamente UMANI in Italy.
The film, which is in the Arabic language, has been made in a village named Aliabad Kavir to simulate the children’s life in Syria. The story of the film revolves around two kids dreaming about their future.
‘The City of Honey’ has so far attended several international events and won a number of awards including, the best film award from the Unknown Film Festival, the jury award at the Andaras Film Festival in Italy and the best actor award of the Elba Film Festival in Italy which went to the star of the film, Hassan Khoshhalat.
The 2020 GENERIcamente UMANI accepts animation, music, documentaries and short films that deal with human rights.
The Italian festival will be held on May 15, 2020.
